After ten years of The Crookes, we have made the decision to call it a day.
We remain the best of friends and always will be. We have had an incredible life together as a band and we’re very proud of everything we’ve achieved. The last decade has been very good to us and we are happy to be going out on a high note.
We want to say a massive thank you for coming to the shows, buying the records, sending us messages and gifts, even opening your homes to us and letting us sleep on your floors on tour. You have given us the most amazing experiences and for that we’ll always be grateful.
Our wonderful managers, Penny Blackham and Matt Silcox, are the only reason we’ve been able to survive this long, and it’s hard to express just how important their contribution to The Crookes has been over the years. Thanks, you two, we love you.
We have also had the faith and support of so many great people, including (but not limited to) Lammo, James Chapple-Gill, Backers, Modern Outsider and Fierce Panda, Clementine and Brendan, Olly, Hawkins, Johnny Owl and our producer, Matt Peel. We want to say a special thank-you to all of them, and to our friends and family, who have backed us all the way.
But we couldn’t leave without a proper goodbye, so we’ll be doing some farewell gigs, which we’ll announce soon. We’d love for you to join us for one last time.
Love, The Crookes x“
